We want to hear your story!
The team at Brittany’s Baskets of Hope is putting together a book for families new to the Down syndrome community. A copy of the book will go in every basket of hope we send to families across the country who are expecting or have just welcomed a new baby with Down syndrome.
We imagine this book as a nourishing, honest and most of all loving offering to those just beginning their journey.
The book will be a collection of stories, poems, letters, quotes, or anything YOU, our contributors in the Down syndrome community, imagine.
We’re looking for these stories to tell the full range of emotions and experiences—the blessings, the challenging moments, and everything in between from families from all backgrounds and ways of being.
We’re seeking stories, poems, or letters from anyone in the community, whether you're rockin' an extra chromosome yourself or you’re a parent, sibling, grandparent, teacher, professional (speech therapist, occupational therapist, etc.), coach, or otherwise connected. If Down syndrome has touched your life, please consider sharing with us.
DETAILS:
Submit your story, poem, letter, or other writing to us through this form.
Submission deadline: July 29, 2021
If we select your submission for publication, we will email you to let you know. Please give us a few months to make our final selections.
We may also share some selections on our social media pages.

This series continues to be powerful and https://qualityfenceandcustomoutdoors.com/ uplifting. I appreciated the storytelling and voices highlighted. It echoed a cultural celebration piece I saw on a qualityfenceandcustomoutdoors-based review blog.
This was a very moving and thoughtfully written post. The way you encourage people to share their stories feels genuinely compassionate and empowering. Reading pieces like this reminds me how storytelling can be a powerful part of healing and connection—something I’ve also noticed discussed thoughtfully in other spaces, including conversations I’ve come across while browsing https://grandoaksorthodontics.com/ -related community content. Thank you for creating such a meaningful opportunity for voices to be heard.
This invitation is both moving and empowering, and you explained the purpose behind it with genuine care. Encouraging people to share their stories in this way can have a powerful impact. I came across a thoughtful discussion on phonydiploma about how personal narratives are preserved and valued, which aligns well with your mission here. Wishing you great success with the book.
